Imagine if you could fully charge your phone in just 30 seconds? Or your electric car in just 30mins? All from a material that we’ve had for a while, graphene. From Wikipedia: Graphene is a substance composed of pure carbon, with atoms arranged in a regular hexagonal pattern similar to graphite, but in a one-atom thick sheet. It is very light, with a 1-square-meter sheet weighing only 0.77 milligrams. Some geekery there but never mind. The interesting thing is that, as shown in this video below, some chaps at UCLA have found a way to use this in battery/battery charging technology. I’ll let them explain in the video below. Just color us impressed and hopeful..
