    I’ve seen a small savings using Champion Energy instead of ComEd. The info I’m getting about the source of our electricity (I opted for renewable sources) doesn’t match what was in the sign up materials though.

    I switched in the fall. Have just received my third bill with the new provider and the savings are definitely there. I’ve been happy with my choice of providers and their customer service people

    I switched a few months ago and I already see a difference in my pricing. You should do this for natural gas purchases as well.

    On my first bill, I saw over a 19% decline in my electricity supply charge ($0.07901 vs. $0.06400). Though there was a slight increase in my delivery charges.

    That said, when I take my total bill and divide by my usage, my overall rate went from $0.1288 to $0.1137 which is a decline of 11.7%.

    total cost is a bit higher due to greater use but cost per unit is lower. hoping for better things in te coming months……

    I opted for the renewable energy rate…the fact that I am saving is a plus. Have I completed a comparative analysis with my former company? No! Have I noticed a change in the amount of monies due? Yes! What I like is that as a consumer, I have a choice and that choice is too save and make yet another contribution toward helping our planet.

    I am saving money, so I am EXTREMELY happy with the switch. I would urge anyone who is tired of paying high prices to make the switch. As far as I can see, there is no down side.

  30. I switched a couple months ago (before contest). Not sure yet about savings…as I still have bills from Com Ed and now Champion. Waiting for that to get cleared up.

        You are not being double-billed, actually. ComEd is just still tracking your usage through their online billing system, and then they’ll send that over to Champion to be paid by them.
